A quite unexpected but very welcome addition to the WCMS facilities was made over the last few weeks by the ACT Government Property Group.

Having made a prior inspection of the premises, they could see that we had an urgent need to improve the facility prior to another predictably cold winter. This led them to secure funding and arrange the purchase and install of heating and cooling equipment.

The main meeting room facility now has an 8kw reverse cycle air conditioner installed and should be more than capable of both heating the main room in winter and cooing it down during the heat of summer.

The big metal box that we call the workshop received four massive strip heaters, which had to include an upgrade to the electrical system and the shed switchboard. They have already been put into use as the days get cooler and should be a huge bonus to those wishing to work in the shed over the winter months.
